Tidewater Builders Association’s Multifamily Housing Council is holding a Fall Fair Housing seminar Wednesday, Sept. 20.
Conducted by Richmond attorney Barrie B. Bowers of FutureLaw L.LC., the seminar is designed for anyone involved in leasing and managing multifamily property. Not only will Bowers cover the basics of fair housing law, she also will discuss reasonable accommodation requests, assistance animals, recent HUD guidance on both criminal background checks and harassment, and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act applicable to HUD-financed housing.
The seminar is approved by the Virginia Real Estate Board for three hours of continuing education credit. Attendees also earn 25 points in the Multifamily University program series.
